Liverpool FC Signed Shirt, Signed by Graeme Souness CBE

Sent by one of English football's true legends. Graeme Souness CBE, three-time European Cup winner, Liverpool FC captain during their golden era, and one of the most combative and commanding midfielders of his generation, personally signed a Liverpool FC shirt for this auction in response to a letter from a KGS Third Year student.

Graeme Souness is the President of DEBRA UK, the butterfly skin charity that supports people living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a devastating rare genetic condition. He is one of DEBRA's most revered and committed ambassadors: since becoming involved with the charity, he has raised over £5 million for DEBRA and the EB community, completed the English Channel relay swim in 2024 raising £1.1 million alone, and spoken passionately and publicly about ending the pain EB causes. "EB isn't a nasty condition, it's horrendous," he has said. "In my new role as President of DEBRA UK, that is my mission: we must secure the treatments that are crucial if we are to stop the pain of EB."

At the age of 73, Graeme has just completed his most demanding fundraising challenge to date for DEBRA UK: he led a small team as they climbed Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, completing an open-water swim close to each peak. Three climbs and three swims, completed over three consecutive days, finishing on the day this auction launched.
